MERRY XMAS.!
DISCLAIMER: today entry may be super long, but i hope everyone who usually reads my blog read every part of it cause i super proud of what im about to write. THANKS.!
merry xmas to all.! xmas isnt very merry for me this year. firstly the supposed countdown with damien and guys didnt materialise. we went seperate ways after dinner and some foto taking. but it was good to meet up with him after so long. and he's still as fun as ever. too bad he's only gonna be in spore for 3 days. or else i can imagine the fun we're gonna have.
so me, yuwen, and lyn went to marina tgt with jeremy. played billard and arcard. surprisingly, lyn won the daytona. super lucky la. me and yuwen are the seasoned players but we lost to her. hmm?
lyn and jeremy meet up with xiaojun, wei jie, and wei jie's friend to go over to weijie's hse for gambling. since i dont gamble, i didnt join them. (haha, ok this part is BS) actually i only know lyn, jeremy and xiaojun well enuff. the rest of the ppl are like strangers to me. being a shy person, im not used to all these kinda get to know ppl stuffs. (ok, this is partly BS, but its true at some times)
oh ya.! i managed to buy my diary alr.! i bought it from RPINTS at $21. kinda ex, but worthy la. its purple.! =)))
thanks for everyone who gave me their xmas greetings and wishes. but the best one prob came from qiqi. who asked me to forget all the unhappy stuffs. easier said than done but nevertheless, thank you.!
so i put my diary to good use when i write my first entry last night. i bought a gold pen to go along with my diary too. since its the 'IN' colour according to PRINTS.
xmas is bout giving if im not wrong. so this xmas, im giving everyone who i had ever been angry with or am angry with right now my forgiveness. and at the same time i pray for forgiveness from everyone who i had offended, or made unhappy.
there was this column from yesterday's papers. it was about new year resolutions. the writer wrote that new year resolutions are made by almost everyone (especially so when english teacher in secondary schools like ms james are too lazy to think of compo topics that they use "my new year resoultions" as the first compo everyone is supposed to write when sch re-opens. so much so from MOE's creativity) thankfully, i no longer need to write compos. anyway, my resolutions seem to be the same every year. and this only goes to show that you dont actually work on ur resolutions, do you? anyway, back to the article. actually what the writer wrote was similar to wad i just shared, its no point having aspiring resolutions and meaningful targets when u know u'll just never reach that resolution cause its just put up for the sake of putting up. you dont actually work hard to acheieve it. so its kinda pointless. according to the writer, she said we should instead think about what has happened over the past yr and just try to appreciated everything and try to do better on somethings that you've done not well enough. of course, not everything has to be politically right. excuse me while i make my new year resolution. my new year resolution is to stop making anymore new year resolutions. relax.! just having some fun. bits gonna be my last resolution, at least im sure this will be a resolution im gonna achieve. i never liked doing resolutions anyway.
another column that caught my eye was from today's life section under 'girl talk'. honestly speaking, it was the first time i was so impressed with an article. not only by the content, but also by the language. of course, to be able to have a column in a regconised paper like the straights times requires one to have a certain standard of language. but hers is FWAH.! anyway, the content was something like there is no point trying to buying xmas pressies for ppl. because xmas is about sharing and giving. and ppl are just buying pressies for others because they have-to-do-it, and not want-to-do-it. which is extremely true. she also said, pressies dont have to be given only during special occasions, like xmas, birthdays, anniversaries. because if u really care for someone, you'll give him/her a pressie anytime of the year. and a pressie from someone u didnt expect would always been more heart warming than someone u expect. which is also very true. kudos to this writer.
everyone should read the papers seriously. if u're not into headlines and world news, u could just read a couple of column from singapore's very own writers. im getting increasingly impressed with local writers. there's this tay y.k guy that writes a column in the papers every monday on the 3rd last page. if you're into humor, you should read his column. it'll prob kickstart your interst in reading. his column today was about how impossible it was for him to appreciate the history of chines epic movies when gong li's boobs are so distracting. true enough. honest man over there.
another local writer that caught my eye was agnes ang (if i rmb correctly), she wrote this book titled "me, a tai tai?". i was browsing tru it in popular yesterday and was seriously impressed by her lang. i always thought ang mo's can write better but thanks to recent findings. everyone should read this book. you can super relate to it i bet.
lastly. i'll take this xmas occasion (so much so from my above sharing that pressies are not only meant for occasions, HAH) to thank some friends. F-CUBE: yes ppl will say its only the 1st yr since we grad so its very likely that we're still in contact. but a couple more years down the road we might not even chat with each other on msn. but i beg to differ. we've been friends for 5 yrs, and counting. =))) and i know my temper hasnt been the best esp on yw, alot of times i just give a black face for nothing, but i can assure u that's not gonna happen again.! =))) lyn and reen: so, our friendship has passed the one year mark. and we all sharpened our jian zui gong with each others company. life's so much less exciting with u two in my life, the two ppl who can make me luff non stop for one whole day. well, we all actually have our own super bad tempers but we just love each other so much we get over it freaking fast and continue finding the next target to improvise our zian zui gong on. long life zian zuis.! =))) qiqi: well well, i've known u for 7 months.? things started only to blossom during BCS, BCS must have been enriching for u huh, come to think of it. a blossoming friendship and the start of a wonderful relationship. haha.! and im glad to have a friend like u, someone whom im so comfortable with talking about my 5 year 'crush'. if not for u, i think life in poly would be seriously bad for me, having heart attacks everyday. haha. and of coz our best combination (you know.?). hopefully this combination can last long enough till i can sing bei ai de nu ren. haha.! kaixin and chip: well well. all the k and all the 3 hr conferences of gossips just helped but made us sidelines wanna chill tgt. but, like i've always said. haha. u know wad i wanna say la. ho ho ho. thanks esp to chip for those free coaching. haha.!
alrights. thanks to all who finally managed to finish reading this lump of words. MERRY XMAS once again.!
